To make your own Moth Chaser Sachets, gather the following ingredients:
- 1/4 pint of crushed Santolina
- 1/4 pint of Artemisia
- 1/4 pint of mint leaves
- 1/4 pint of rosemary leaves
- 5 cinnamon sticks, crushed
- 1/4 pint of cloves
- 1/4 pint of dried and chopped lemon peel
- 1/4 pint of lemon-scented geranium leaves
- 3 tablespoons of a lavender and orris mixture
- 3 tablespoons of a clove and orris mixture
- 2 tablespoons of a lemon and orris mixture
Start by placing all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Mix them thoroughly until well combined. Next, transfer the mixture into a large jar or a polythene bag, making sure it is sealed tightly. Store the container in a dark place for two to four weeks. During this period, gently shake the container from time to time to help the ingredients blend evenly.
Once the mixture has rested for the recommended time, use it to fill small sachets. These sachets can be hung in cupboards or placed in drawers. The aromatic blend will help protect your clothing and linens by repelling moths.
